Connection and Security Servers Certificates

Obtaining a Signed SSL Certificate from a CA

For Connection Servers, Security Servers and Unified Access Gateway, you must request certificates to a CA. You can find details in Obtaining a Signed SSL Certificate from a CA.

Add the Certificate Snap-In to MMC

  1.  On Connection Server or Security Server, click Start and type mmc.exe.
  2. In the MMC window, go to File -> Add/Remove Snap-in….
  3. Select Certificates and click Add.
  4. Select Computer account and click Next.
  5. Select Local computer and click Finish.
  6. Click OK.

Import a Signed Server Certificate into a Windows Certificate Store

  1. In MMC window, go to Certificates (Local Computer) -> Personal -> Certificates.
  2. Right click and select All Tasks -> Import….
  3. Click Next.
  4. Browse the certificate file and click Next.
  5. Type the Password for the private key that is included in the certificate file. Select Mark this key as exportable and Include all extended properties. Click Next.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Finish.
  8. You will see a Successful message. Click OK.

Modify the Certificate Friendly Name

  1. In MMC window, go to Certificates (Local Computer) -> Personal -> Certificates.
  2. Right-click the certificate that is issued to the Horizon 7 server host and click Properties.
  3. On the General tab, delete the Friendly name text and type vdm. Click Apply and OK.
  4. Verify that no other server certificates have a Friendly name of vdm. In that case, delete the Friendly name text, click Apply and OK.

Import a Signed Server Certificate into a Windows Certificate Store

  1. Go to UAG admin console: https://UAG_FQDN_or_IP_Address:9443/admin and login with privileges.
  2. On Configure Manually, click Select.
  3. Go to Advanced Settings -> TLS Server Certificate Settings.
  4. Select Internet interface, Certificate Type, Browse you certificate on Upload PFX, Type the certificate Password and Alias. Finally click Save.
